The classic Suntour groupset is run by friction shifters, which allowed us to do some fun upgrading. We took off the 5 speed cassette and replaced it with a larger 8 speed cassette.
We reduced the wheel size from 28in to 700x35. By reducing the wheel size, it let us fit wider tires on this ride. The tire width is now 35mm which is perfect for comfy pavement cruising, as well as back alley gravel and construction zones.
