Cervelo Soloist

  • SRAM AXS Red/Force

  • Reserve 50 wheelset

  • Black Inc. handlebar

While this groupset is mostly a stock Force AXS groupset, there are some fun details. The most noticeable is the Red AXS crank upgrade, this change saved quite a few grams and also increased the pedaling stiffness. Where the Force chainrings are a standard 2 ring and 4 bolt install pattern, the Red chainrings are one piece and direct mounted to the crankarms using 8 bolts. The other small touch is the small cassette choice. We’re running a 10-28t cassette rather than the 30 or 33t cassettes you normally see nowadays. This smaller cassette really makes the shifting snappy and crisp.

The front end of the bike is setup with a Ritchey Comp WCS 220 stem, and a Black Inc. carbon bar. We finished them off with some Silca Nastro Piloti bar tape. On the Soloist, the internal routing of the brake hoses is semi integrated and can be seen from the bar to the frame. We kept that tight with wrapping the brake hoses in heat shrink wrap.
